Hanoi - Sapa - Halong bay - Tam Coc/Hoa Lu - Hanoi

Day 1:  Hanoi Arrival
On arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai Airport a Vktour guide will greet you and transfer by private car through the city to your hotel.

Day 2 (B-L): Hanoi city tour - Night train to Sapa
After breakfast depart for an insider's tour of the capital. Long hidden from the international community Hanoi's cultural scene is thriving. Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Museum, his house on stilt, One Pillar pagoda in the same area then visit Quan Thanh temple and the West lake . Enjoy lunch at Cha Ca La Vong. 		Hanoi Image
Listed in the travel book '500 places to see before you die' this specialty fish restaurant has been serving the same dish for the past 3 decades. After Lunch you will visit the temple of Literature then the museum of Ethnology. Free time for dinner.
8:00pm Pick up for the Night train to Sapa

Day 3 (B-L-D):  Sapa trekking - Homestay
5.30am Arrive in Lao Cai. The bus ride uphill to SaPa takes a little over an hour, giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. You'll have breakfast in a local Restaurant, then meet with our local guide. Walk down through the villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van. 		Sapa image
The trekking route offers some challenge as you balance on the rice terraces and a small trail on the steep mountainside. The vegetation is dense as the trail leads up to a peaceful village perched on the Hoang Lien mountainside, relax by a local stream for a picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight in homestay at Ta Van village.

Day 4 (B-L):  Sapa - Night train back to Hanoi
After breakfast, you will walk to the meeting point where our driver is waiting to take you back to SaPa. Relax, see Sapa town and Sapa market.
6.00pm - Bus transfer to Lao Cai;
8.20pm - Night train back to Hanoi (soft sleeper with air conditioning).

Day 5 (L-D):  Hanoi - Halong Bay
Arrive Hanoi around 5 : 00 am in the morning. Pick up at the Railway Station. Drive to Halong city, stop on the way for breakfast . Arrive in Ha Long city around lunch time, go directly to the tourist harbour and board the Junk. Check in. Have lunch then cruise to visit Ha Long Bay, Sung Sot cave, Ti Top Beach, enjoy sunset, drinks. Have dinner on the junk, and over night on the junk. ( Optional : Kayaking ).

Day 6 (B-L):  Halong Bay - Tam Coc (Ninh Binh)
Have breakfast. Visit man's head island, Tortoise island, Toad island, Bai tho mountain. Have lunch on the junk. Back to Ha Long wharf. Drive 3 hours to Tam Coc in Ninh Binh province. Over night at the hotel in Tam Coc.

Day 7 (B-L):  Tam Coc - Hoa Lu - Hanoi
After breakfast at the hotel in Tam Coc, take a sampan boat on a river through the rice paddies to the grottoes of the sacred Tam Coc Caves. Enormous limestone karsts jut out from the green rice fields giving rise to this place's other name, 'Halong bay in Land'. Back to the hotel, have a shower then check out. Lunch in the restaurant. After lunch, you will do a short biking trip about 10km from Tam Coc to Hoa Lu ancient capital of Vietnam in 10th century. Visit the two remaining sanctuaries of the ancient citadel.
