The Mekong delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam. It is often referred to as the rice bowl of Vietnam as it produces three harvests per year. The fertile Mekong delta is also famous for its tropical fruits and flowers. The Delta area marks the end of a 4,500km journey made by the Mekong river after having traveled through six countries. Traditional transportation in the Delta is by boat along a vast network of canals and channels. Boating along these canals and visiting the floating markets always proves to be a fascinating and rewarding experience for all visitors...

Itinerary

Day 1: Saigon - Cai Be - Cruise boat (L,D)
8:00 AM: Depart for Cai Be around 2 hrs driving. On our dedicated bus you can see the green paddy fields stretching towards the horizontal. When you arrive Cai Be, you’ll do biking or walking through small villages along the Mekong canals, or sampan rowing in small canals around Cai Be about one hour.
- 11.30: Boarding of the cruise vessel and check-in
- 12.00: Panorama cruise and lunch on board
- 16.00: Guided land excursion – walk in orchards and small villages
- 17.00: Return to the boat for refreshment and to enjoy the sunset on the top deck
- 19.00: Dinner on board, Overnight on board


Day 2: Cai Rang Floating market Cruise - Drive back to Saigon (B,L)
- 06.30: Morning cruise and morning tea break served until 08.30
- 08.30: Excursion on a long sampan to Cai Rang or Cai Be floating market
- 10.00: Return to the boat for the brunch
- 12.00: Departure to Saigon
- 16.00: Arrival in Saigon
