Halong bay and Cat Ba island 3 days, 2 nights

Cat Ba island is the largest one in Halong bay 300 square km with over 20,000 citizens. Cat ba town is regarded as mini Hong Kong by tourists. Presently, hundred of hotels, restaurants, bars, karaoke-bars, etc… have been mushrooming. However, just 10 km away from the center you can find wildly steep spines of mountain, narrow valleys and waterfalls, lush wetlands, two pretty golden beaches, and one of Vietnam’s most beautiful National park. The park was established in 1986 to protect flora and fauna in a half of the island and the sea life of the surrounding inshore waters. Included in these Eco-systems are tropical evergreen forests, 15 kinds of mammals ( including wild boars and hedgehogs) 200 species of fish, 21 species of birds, and 640 species of plants. All these can be witnessed by trekking to a peak of mountain and get the panoramic view from the tower at the top.

Itinerary

Day 1(L,D): Hanoi - Halong bay, overnight on boat
Leave Hanoi at 8.00 am. Arrive in Ha Long city around 12 am. Get on boat, Lunch on boat. Cruise to see Halong bay and one of the most beautiful cave in the bay.  Swimming. Dinner and spend unforgettable night on the boat. Sleep on boat in a safe place in HaLong Bay.

Day 2(B,L ): Halong bay - Cat Ba island
Breakfast on boat while viewing the sunrise. Land on Cat Ba island. On the way from the harbor to hotel, we stop at Cat Ba national park to do trekking about 2 hours then the car take you to the hotel in Cat Ba town.
Check in the hotel, lunch in the restaurant at the hotel. After lunch we take the boat trip again by small boat from Cat Ba to see Lan Ha bay then back to your hotel.
Evening: Free to enjoy your own time and dinner. 

Day 3(B): Cat Ba island - Hanoi
Free time in the morning, relax or swim at the beaches near the hotel.
At 2h45 pm We take the Hydrofoil to Hai Phong. The car pick us up in Hai Phong
Drive back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi around 6 pm.

Note:
If you want to come back to Hanoi earlier for some reasons. Please tell your tour guide to arrange that. There are   different speed boats from Cat Ba to Hai Phong everyday.
