Day 1:  Hanoi Arrival
Today, you'll arrive in Hanoi and Vktour guide and driver will meet you at arrivals for your hotel transfer. On the way you’ll get your first impressions of Vietnam, buzzing with street traders and mopeds. Your hotel is situated in the centre of the Old Quarter- the beating heart of Hanoi - surrounded by food stalls and quirky restaurants. The hotel is a wonderful example of the classic Vietnamese architecture. The rest of the day you are free to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 2 (B,L): Hanoi - City Tour
Morning: 8:30 am: We start with a visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, Uncle Ho's stilt house & garden, One pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum. Visit West Lake then the Temple of Literature. Lunch.
Afternoon: Visit the Museum of Ethnology.
See Water Puppet Show.
Note: - On Mon & Fri: Ho Chi Minh mausoleum closed, as most museums are closed on Monday.

Day 3 (B-L-D): Hanoi - Bai Tu Long bay and Quan Lan island
Leave Hanoi at 8.00 am. Arrive in Ha Long city around 12 am. Get on boat, Lunch on boat. Cruise to see one of the most beautiful cave in the bay. Cruise toward Quan Lan island, you will have the opportunity to take in the breathtaking scenery of Bai Tu Long Bay during hours of journey. Arrive at Quan Lan Island, a Vietnamese tuk-tuk will take you to your bungalow on the beach. It is then free time to chill, read, or take a walk along the beach.

Day 4 (B-L-D): Quan Lan island
Today is a free day to chill out and relax. A popular option is to hire a bicycle and take a photographic trip around the Island, which will allow you to glimpse the remoteness and untouched scenery that was Vietnam before wide-scale tourism made its impact.

Day 5 (B-L-D): Quan Lan island - Cai Rong - Lang Son
Early this morning you will take a local ferry to Cai Rong Island, about 3 hours from Quan Lan. Take time to see some beauty spots on the island like Van Don harbour (Vietnam's oldest trade harbor), Cai Rong town market, Hang Doi (Bat Cave). Drive to Lang Son.

Day 6 (B-L-D): Lang Son - Cao Bang
After breakfast, you will visit Tam Thanh and Nhi Thanh cave, visit the ruins of the Mac Dynasty Citadel. Drive to Cao Bang follow the famous Highway 4 winds its way through steep mountain passes with spectacular vistas! Dinner and over night in Cao Bang.

Day 7 (B-L-D): Cao Bang - Ban Gioc - Cao Bang
Take a scenic day trip north of Cao Bang to the beautiful Ban Gioc Waterfall on the Chinese border for a picnic lunch. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters. The unique landscape includes limestone karst formations soaring from the verdant rice paddies of Tay, H'Mong and Dzao ethnic minority groups. On the way back to Cao Bang, explore the expansive 2,144 meter Nguom Ngao Cave to discover its brilliant stalactites.
Overnight in the hotel in Cao Bang.

Day 8 (B-L-D): Cao Bang - Ba Be National park
After breakfast, drive to Ba Be National park. Homestay at the Tay village nearby Ba Be lake

Day 9 (B-L-D): Ba Be lake boat trip
Ba Be Lake, surrounded by rugged limestone mountains, is Vietnam's only natural mountain lake. This important eco-system is well known for over 330 species of butterflies! Have breakfast with your Tay hosts before exploring the lake with lush forest clinging to the surrounding mountains. Reach the end of the lake and trek to Dau Dang Waterfall. Day 10 (B-L): Ba Be lake - Hanoi

After breakfast drive back to Hanoi. Stop on the way to take photos and have lunch.

Day 11 (B): Hanoi Departure
Today is departure day. Enjoy some free time for last purchases or simply relax before the transfer to Hanoi's Noi Bai Airport and your onward flight.
